We understand that it is not enough to treat a disease or condition without also considering all aspects of our patients' lives. At The Lung Center (among the top ranked in the country by U.S. News & World Report), we integrate the needs and perspectives of patients and their caregivers directly into our care plans. We offer a variety of resources to help both new and established patients prepare for a visit with us.
Patient navigators in The Lung Center are trained professionals who are available to work with patients and families. They can assist in orienting you to the hospital, inform you about diagnostic testing, interventional procedures and surgery, and, when necessary, accompany you to appointments. Patient navigators also follow-up with patients after they have returned home to ensure that the next phase of recovery is successful.
